Wednesday, April 26th: Qupé and Verdad Wineries and Full of Life Flatbread present a special screening of the important documentary "A Plastic Ocean"
A Plastic Ocean is a new feature-length adventure documentary that brings to light the consequences of our global disposable lifestyle. We thought we could use plastic once and throw it away with negligible impact to humans and animals. That turns out to be untrue.
In A Plastic Ocean, an international team of adventurers, researchers, and Ocean ambassadors go on a mission around the globe to uncover the shocking truth about what is truly lurking beneath the surface of our seemingly pristine Ocean.
The results will astound viewers–just as it did our adventurers–who captured never-before-seen images of marine life, plastic pollution, and its ultimate consequences for human health.
Come join us and Plastic Pollution Coalition Executive Director Dianna Cohen on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 26th at 6pm in Los Alamos for an evening of community, good food, drink, a very special screening of 'A Plastic Ocean,' and a community discussion in the Flatbread dining room.
Price: $50 includes a wine reception, specially prepared dinner, the screening, and a gift to the Plastic Pollution Coalition.
We are in a time of governing bodies who question science, cast doubt on fact and instill insecurity. This is but a small act to increase knowledge because knowledge is more powerful that fear and bluster.
