• Grenache harvested October 25, Purisima Mountain Vineyard in Santa Ynez Valley.

•Syrah harvested October 15, Bien Nacido Vineyard in Santa Maria Valley.
• Block 11 “Baja”
• Estrella clone
• 22.9° Brix
• 3.36 pH
• 8.9 g/L TA

• Wine was aged for two years in 40% new wood. 20% Hungarian Puncheons and 20% French oak barrels.
• Released December 1, 2009

This is a concentrated wine with aromas of tobacco, cherries and spice. On the palate it
is full bodied with flavors of ripe plums and cherries layered with cocoa, cinnamon and
smoky-spice. 626 cases were produced.
